Here is a shot taken from the staircase leading to the full service restaurant looking out at the large pagoda in the pavilion for Japan.
Attention to detail is prevalent here with the architecture of Japan as with all the other "lands" of the World Showcase.
After taking a few photos, we went to the Yakitori House to order our dinner. This is a Quick Service restaurant with a walk-up counter. After checking out the menu, we decided on the combo plate with chicken, beef, & shrimp tempura plus steamed rice.
We got a table in the empty outdoor dining area right by the beautiful waterfall. We could have eaten indoors, but decided that the Japanese garden looked so much more appealing.
After eating our wonderful dinner, we took some more photos, including this one of the koi pond. We also checked out the very large gift shop before leaving. They have so many things to look at and buy. On another trip to W.D.W. in 1994 Bruce decided to buy one of the bonsai trees they sell here in Japan. We took it home with us in the motorhome. At that time we were living in Bakersfield, California (don't ask...it's a long story) and I guess that poor little bonsai didn't like that arid climate. It didn't last very long and soon croaked. This time, we left the bonsai trees at the gift shop.
