Meeting A Blog Reader

This morning we had the great pleasure of meeting up, again, with one of my blog readers.  We first met, Pam, back in September and had coffee together at the Tumwater McDonald's.  She lives in Olympia, Washington which is next door to our homebase town of Tumwater.

It was great to meet for the first time last September and exchange RV travel stories.  So when she contacted me again last week to ask about getting together, we were happy to make those arrangements.  Pam and I have kept in contact via e-mail since our first meeting last fall.  Her husband is still working and will not be able to sell his business and retire until the economy picks up a little bit.  They are hoping that it won't be much longer as they are eager to begin a fulltime RV lifestyle in a new 5er.

As an added bonus today, Pam brought her Mom along.  It was another pleasure to meet Ann and learn about some of her favorite vacation trips over the years.  Both ladies have a long history of traveling by RV and car.  Ann lives over in Spokane, Washington and was here to visit family.  She and Pam are heading over to the Oregon Coast next week and looking forward to it very much.

Here are the 3 of us:  Me, Pam and Ann

Pam is a busy blog reader and we talked about some of our favorite blogs on Blogger.  She seems to keep track of even more of the bloggers than I can find the time to do.

We talked about our respective "bucket lists" of travel destinations also.  Ann wants to get to Cape Cod and eat lobster.  She has been to many places, but has yet to see the cape.  I have a feeling she will get there and be able to check that one off her own bucket list.  It was a very enjoyable time together and I hope we will do it again as often as we return to our base camp here in Tumwater.

Do any of you have a Bucket List of a place or places that you need to see?

Until next time.....so long for now!

How nice to meet up with a blog reader! What a nice thing to do.

Yup... we got our bucket list too, arranged state by state. So when we get there, we will know what to look for LOL

I would love to see the 3 states I have never been to: Alaska, Montana, and North Dakota, plus the Grand Canyon. I'm sure I'll get to Montana & N. Dakota this year, but will probably never get to see the other two.

I bet it is so much fun to actually meet some of the folks that read your blog.:) I hope we will be able to do more of that. We met Gene and Judi Curp via the blog so I guess that counts.

My "bucket list" has gotten bigger than the bucket. Isn't it fun!!!!

We have a list, Margie, but I prefer not to call it a "Bucket List" as I don't really like the inference there if you know what I mean! We'll knock a few more places off of our list in the next month or so though - Carlsbad Caverns, Santa Fe, Bisbee and a few others as well.

We just met Donna and Ralph - she's Squawmama. They were in Benson and gave us a howdy, so we shared dinner and a dessert. We are hoping to meet up with Rick and Paulette perhaps next month, as they head east on their loop trip back to BC.

Hallo Margie! It must be great to be able to visit in person with a fellow blogger!
We don't have a bucket list, but have an idea of where we want to travel, I get alot of travel ideas off the blogs I follow, which makes it easier for me to figure out great things for my son and I to see when we get on the road.

Anything that has to do with dirt (climbing, hiking, picking rocks, going into caves) makes SD happy. And if he's happy and learns things, I'm good with that.

Cheers!
