I would like to extend a great big THANK YOU and say Welcome aboard to 2 new "Followers". They are Gail Durham and Rick NB. I appreciate your attention to my RV fulltime living blog. I hope you will find it informative or at least entertaining!
Today was our granddaughter, Zoey's, 5th birthday. She's pretty much been celebrating for a week already, starting with her "kid party" last weekend. The day for all of us started out early. Unfortunately, today was a special gymnastics meet for Zoey's sister, Mackenzie, and it was being held up in Seattle. Bad timing for a birthday celebration, but when you are part of a competitive team....you have to be there. Our daughter, son-in-law and Mackenzie had to be up in Seattle, 50 miles north of here, by 10:00.
It was decided that Zoey could stay with Bruce and I today until the rest of them returned in the afternoon. Zoey arrived on our doorstep before 8:00 am. I fixed her "Eggs In A Hole" for breakfast and she ate with us. I had already planned to help her celebrate at church us today. I had signed up as Fellowship Host for this morning and we took 2 large sheet cakes saying HAPPY BIRTHDAY to church with us. I bought them at Costco as they have a good bakery.
After church we took Zoey to McDonald's for a happy meal lunch (her choice). We came back to the MH to change clothes and get Annie. Before we left we needed to empty the holding tanks. Bruce let Zoey go outside and watch the procedure from a safe distance. She was not impressed by the process and said a lot of "papa, that's gross....P.U.....why do you do that?" When we had that whole business finished we went over to our daughter's house to wait out the afternoon.
I was fixing dinner for the family tonight and the birthday girl wanted macaroni and cheese, asparagus, and salad. OK...easy enough. Stephanie, Darin and Mackenzie got home at 4:00 and Uncle Dennis and Grandma Judy got there shortly after. Stephanie had purchased another birthday cake for our family dinner. We enjoyed the dinner and then we had MORE CAKE. I've had way too much cake in the past week. Even for me....I've gone over the top with this. It was good cake, but right now I'm just not wanting to see another cake for a long, long time. Zoey had a great time and was enjoying being the center of attention.
Until next time......so long for now!
I KNEW SHE WOULD

What a beautiful birthday girl, isn't that age just great, it's still in what we have always called the age of innocence when it takes so little for a child to be happy, right before adults spoil them. Glad to see you had a great day. Sam & Donna.
Oh what a darling! And for such a sweetie five year old princess, I suppose a few servings of cake ARE in order. Tee heee. What fun to share her special day when the rest of the family had to be so far away.
How did Mackenzie do at the gymnastics meet?

You can never have too much birthday cake, I always say. Zoey is a real cutie and I'm sure she has enjoyed every minute of her extended birthday parties with you.
Karen: Mackenzie did not place for a medal this time, but she scored enough points to qualify for "sectionals" (whatever that is). LOL
Zoey is at the perfect age to enjoy the birthday celebrations AND the cakes. I agree with you that too much cake is just too much of a good thing.
What a great birthday! Kid's just can't have enough cake!
Looks like she got a DS, that's a pretty neat toy!
She is just adorable!! I know you have had fun celebrating with her this entire week. The cake looks delicious....but that only means it has tons of calories! LOL
Glad you all had fun and especially Zoey!!
