A few days ago buzzing along on Hwy. 50, we came to the town of La Junta, Colorado and decided to stop for the night. The KOA was the only RV park we could find in the nearby area, so we pulled in there. We find that KOA parks usually charge a little bit more than we like to spend, but sometimes you just don't have choices.
We pulled into the check-in area at the La Junta KOA and went into the office. We were met by the friendliest woman and she offered many suggestions on things to see and do in the area. We had no reservation but she had a spot for us and we got checked in quickly. We found this campground in our Trailer Life Directory. We paid $40.45 for a full hook-up site with 50 amp service. They have WiFi but our AT&T card worked great.
The restrooms were clean and adequate. There was also an on-site laundry that was small but also clean and neat. There was a recreation room with pool table, TV, and long tables for social gatherings.
This park also had a small swimming pool and playground. Check park website link for more photos. This was a nice park, especially for a single night stop, and we would stay here again if in the area. I hope you enjoyed my tour of this KOA campground.
Until next time.....so long for now!
