Who Took The Sun???

I’d like to welcome new “Followers” to my blog.  Welcome Aboard and THANK YOU…

I appreciate both of you signing on to join my group and I hope you find something of interest here.  Feel free to leave comments whenever you’d like.

The Pismo Beach Clam Festival is coming up this weekend.  It should be a whole bunch of fun for everyone….but somebody stole the sun!!  It’s been cool, overcast and foggy for a couple of days.  Today the fog is thicker than it was the past couple of days.

I know the ocean is out here somewhere.DSCF7081

On our walk this morning the nearby beach condos had no view of the beautiful Pacific Ocean at all.  The central coast of California gets frequent fog banks moving in during the fall and winter months, so this is really not surprising.

And somebody paid extra for this ocean view room !!!DSCF7082

Before lunch Annie and I walked down to the dunes just out the gate from the RV park.  I wanted to see if any of the fog had lifted from down at the pier.  Annie was happy to trot along and check it out.  At least I didn’t have to carry her for her “walk” today.  If I do, then I guess I could say that I took her for a “carry” and not for a “walk”.  Today she managed on her own power.

A quick look toward the pier showed me that the fog was still hanging around.DSCF7086

I left Annie so I could see the ducks for a quick photo.DSCF7094

There were a few out in the creek.  Nothing special.DSCF7087

The Clam Festival is set and the RV’s are really moving into town.  I’m sure when we take a walk tomorrow morning we’ll see that some of the local motels and hotels have already begun filling up.  By Friday evening most everyone will be in town.

Fog or no fog, we’ll go down to the pier area Saturday and see what’s going on.  It could be interesting.

Until next time…..so long for now!

Sometimes foggy days are kind of nice. It would be nice if it cleared up for the festival this weekend though. Congrats, Annie, it's hard walking through all that sand - well done!

Those pictures look more like what I saw here in Oregon this morning than what I would expect of Pismo beach. A change is always mice though, makes you appreciate the nicer weather more when it comes back ;) how's the pup doing?

NOLA's Lost Son: Thanks for your question on Annie. By and large she is doing fairly well. She's off her food from time to time but still enjoys eating Cheerios. :) When we get back to Tumwater, WA in Nov. she'll see her doctor.

thanks for stopping by the blog!

I love hearing about Annie. I was at camping world in Junction City, OR a little over a month and a half ago, dealing with some issues with my rig, and the nicest couple pulled in beside me and the wife came over and chatted briefly while I played with he pup. Looked just like Annie. Really sweet dog and the owner said much more laid back than normal for the breed. She was adorable. I can't remember their names for anything as I was fighting a horrid migraine that morning. But that pup made such a bright few moments in an otherwise bad morning that I cant help but remember her. Annie could be her twin, so when I don't see an update on Annie after several days, I get curious and want to make sure that she's ok too. Our furry kids are family too :)

We had another sunny day but i promise it wasn't because I punched yours. Fog makes an interesting change but doesn't mean I like it.

Nice to see Annie out walking too.

Blessings

Margie, I too have a soft spot for all the furry kids in the blogs I follow, Right now I am in Rigg's withdrawal,My sister has several cats and the one male who never was social and won't even get on her lap jumped up on my feet while I was on the couch, Wendy was surprised, I told her he probably sensed that I missed Rigg's. Animals are something. Be safe out there Sam & Donna.

Ohhh.....a clam bake. Back east we would camp in Ocean City MD right across from Assateague Island. Len would go with the guys clam digging. Always a feast afterwards. I even love them RAW.

So this weekend it looks like you will be in the midst of lots of activity.

Good old Annie, the Energizer dog! Even though her batteries are wearing out gradually, she just keeps on going and going and going! She's doing her job of keeping you guys active!

What do you think about adding some more pics? No offence, content is really great. But as I know humans acquire information much more efficient if they see certain useful illustrations.
