We chose to stay for 3 nights at the
Arch View RV Park , about 10 miles north of the town of Moab. The park is south of I-70 on Hwy. 191. It is conveniently located to Canyonlands National Park and Arches National Park. There are several choices in the Moab area and we just picked this one from the Trailer Life Directory.
When we got to the office the place was slammed with folks because it was the Memorial Holiday. We had reservations, fortunately. We learned the hard way to always have reservations on holiday weekends. The lady that helped us was full of great information about the area. We paid our $39.17 per night (all tax inc.) and were soon on our way.
We selected the regular 50 amp. FHU sites rather than the "Premium" sites at $5.00 per day additional. We aren't too picky and the regular sites were just fine. Our site was level and big enough to keep our car in front of us. These sites are a little closer together than the Premium sites, but big enough to suit us for just 3 days. The roads are big enough to handle the big rigs getting into the pull-thru sites. There are also rental cabins on the property. Most of the folks here had ATV's with them. Plenty of room for all of that, too. The interior roads were dirt, but in good condition.
I checked out the restroom facilities and found them to be adequate. Small....oh, so small, but clean and good enough. The laundry room was equally as small. At least there was one for the campers, and it was clean.
There is a gift shop in the office, which is also a mini-mart for the Shell gas station at the entrance to the RV park. They have a small swimming pool here.....and I do mean SMALL. The park also offers free WiFi. Good thing it was free because it was AWFUL. Maybe awful is too kind a word, but I can't think of another and still be polite. Getting connected in the evening was impossible and only once in the mornings we were there would it connect.
You do have some amazing views of the red rocks in the area, and it was a quiet park, in spite of it being a sold-out campground for the weekend. I'm not certain we'd choose to stay here again. We might try a park closer into Moab just because our AT&T might work there. This is what we could see from the RV park. This wasn't a bad place....but it sure wasn't great either.
Until next time.....so long for now!

Looks like a nice campground, you are really doing a service to other campers by posting such great reviews complete with pics. I for one save the ones of the areas I would like to visit, have fun, Be safe out there. Sam & Donna.
Yup, we agree with Sam and Donna too. You take pics of the actual stuff, and the sites, clearance of the roads for turning in, and give a good *User's Review* Thanks for taking the time to do this for the rest of us!
