To those of you that read my mom's blog I am Stephanie, her daughter. I am writing on my mom's blog today to let you all know of a tragedy that has hit our family very hard. As most of you know both my parent's were avid walkers; they walked multiple miles a day and enjoyed there talks together very much.
This morning they were taking a typical walk in Pismo and someone driving a car struck them both down. Unfortunately, neither of them survived this tragic accident. We were contacted in Tumwater by the San Luis P.D. about this accident. The individual was attempting to commit suicide and struck them where they walked. The police are treating this as a homicide at this time.
This is all the information we have at this time. My brother, husband and I will be flying down to Pismo this week to take care of there affairs. And definitely to retrieve our beloved Annie.
I know that all of you she met in her travels ment a lot to her and she enjoyed communicating with all of you through various blogs. I will post more information when we return for our travels, as I know that is what my mom would want.
Party Time! MERRY CHRISTMAS!

I am so very sorry to read this post. How absolutely horrible. Your mother was loved very much by her many blog readers. I just can't express the sorrow that I am feeling right now.
Oh my God dear girl. I can not express the deep sense of grief each of us who have "talked" to your Mom and Dad will be feeling as this dreadful event becomes known.
I never met your dear Mother but I felt as if she were a friend.
Please, know that all of us are deeply saddened.
I am so shocked and upset by this terrible news. I have been following your Mom's blog for awhile now and enjoyed reading about her summer babysitting her granddaughters. No words can express how terribly sorry I am. My thoughts and prayers are with you at this terrible time.
God bless you.
Oh no! I am so sorry this has happened. They have been so happy here the last few weeks! Please accept my heartfelt condolences. I never met your parents but enjoyed hearing from them..

My wife Brenda and I are followers of your Mom's blog and enjoyed immensely following her adventures with your father and Annie. Their love of traveling and her love for her family shone through in almost every paragraph.

I am so very sorry to read of this terrible tragedy. I have been following Margie's blog for some time now, and enjoyed following her and Bruce's adventures very much. I really felt like I knew them - their love for life, their family, and all things related to traveling so came through her writing. My prayers, thoughts and heartfelt sympathy are with her family and friends.
Shocking, terrible news! I feel so sorry for Margie and Bruce's children and especially her beloved 'Grands' and, of course, Annie.
Stephanie, we had plans to meet up with your Mom and Dad in January at the Pismo Beach RV Resort and were so looking forward to meeting them.
This is just so tragic.
Dear Stephanie,
I'm deeply sorry and sad to have read this post, there's no words that I can express my sorrow! My heart goes out to you and your family, may your parents rest in peace!
I am so sorry to hear about this tragedy. My thoughts and prayers are with their family.
My deepest sympathy to you Stephanie and your whole family. I never met your Mom, but have enjoyed getting to know her and Bruce and Annie through the blog. We are also fulltime RVers and she expressed so well the love she had for the lifestyle. What a shock to check in at the blog expecting to see her comments on life and to read that these two folks were struck down doing what they loved doing every day. Thank you for letting us all know. We are sending love and praying for you all.

Dear Stephanie and Family, I am so sorry to hear of your loss. My name is Claire and I am also at Pismo Coast Village. Your Mom and I just talked yesterday. We had met previously and were blog friends and then real friends. We will be here for another week if you need any help please give me a call, I will leave my phone number in the resevation office for you.
Again,
We are so sorry.
Our thoughts & prayers are with your family.
This is such shocking and unbelievable news that I almost can't believe it. We met Margie and Bruce twice, once in Astoria this summer and once this summer at Long Beach when they came there with Mackenzie and Zoey. They are both such special people and I just can't believe that they are gone so suddenly. Please let us know if there is anything we can do and also let us know if you are going to hold a memorial service. We live in Vancouver, WA, so we are not too far away to help. Our deepest sympathy to all of you!

Stephanie - This is just devestating news and I am so sorry for your loss. Thank you so much for letting us know and remember that your Mom's blog was read and loved by so many people. They will be truly missed.
Oh, Stephanie. What a tragedy. My heart goes out to you and your family. As so many others have said (and there will be more to come), your Mom and Dad were an important and valued part of the RV'ing community. What a loss! Thank you so much for taking the time to post on your Mom's blog so that we know what has happened. They will be sorely missed. I am so sorry for your terrible loss.
Stephanie, this is such a shock.. I am so sorry for your loss. My thoughts and prayers are with all of the family... I didn't know your parents personally, but feel asthough I did through Margie's blog.. They both will be missed terribly.
Thank you for letting us know..
Blessings,

I can hardly believe this happened. It is so terrible. I have followed Margie's Blog for almost a year and really enjoyed it. I am so sorry for your loss your grief must be bottomless. I will be thinking of you.
I am so shocked and saddened to hear of the terrible tragedy.
My sincere condolences to your family.
Stephanie and family -
Our hearts go out to you and your family at the time of this unimaginable tragedy. You are all in our thoughts and prayers.
As others have said, there is a huge hole in the RVing community this day. Bruce and Margie were a wonderful, kind, loving part of this community. They will be missed.
We had the great pleasure of meeting Bruce and Margie last April in Johnson City, TX. We were like long lost friends who finally had the chance to meet in person. We were touched by their warm hearts and their wonderfully energetic spirits. While we only spent a brief time together, their tremendous love for their family was obvious. They spoke with great anticipation of their upcoming trip to Walt Disney World and their summer with "the grands". They were, first and foremost, parents and grandparents.
We are so grateful for their friendship, advice and encouraging words. And, we are deeply sorry that we will not see them again.
Please know that many, many people across the country are feeling your loss. May you feel the virtual embrace that is being placed on your family from many, many miles away. We are so very sorry for your loss.
We wish we were closer, but unfortunately we must send our condolences from Tennessee. If there is anything we can do for you, do not hesitate to ask. We are with you in spirit during this most difficult time.
Godspeed,
Paul and Mary

I am so sorry to hear this. Your folks were wonderful people and will be missed by many. You are in my thoughts. Je regrette, Remi
Folks, I "knew" Bruce & Margie only through this blog, never having had the opportunity to meet in person. Please accept my most sincere condolences for this senseless, tragic loss of two fine full-timers. From all appearances they were great people and their deaths leaves a void in the community.
Stephanie, we are Kim and DOn and have been blogging with Margie for the past couple of years. We are deeply shocked and saddened that this has happened, as we looked forward to meeting up with them in person. We know that all of the RV blogging community will keep you and your families and in their prayers and offer our deepest condolences. We are so so sorry. Your mum has been a great source of personal inspiration for me ( Kim ).
Oh Stephanie, I am so sorry and shocked as I read this post. Just last night your mom posted a comment on my blog.
Cherish this blog as a reflection of the love and passion your parents had for their family, the "grands" and life. They read as beautiful people. My prayers go out to you, your family at this difficult time.
Hi Stephanie, I'm shocked! This is just unbelievable. I have followed Margie's Blog for quite some time. Margie's blog was a pleasure to read. I don't know what to say. You and the rest of your family are in my thoughts and prayers.
Blessings, Gail
Stephanie and family...
We are so sorry to hear of this tragedy now facing your family. I sat in shock as I read your post ~ thank you for thinking of us, your parents other family ~ the RV'ing community.
We never met in person though we passed each other a few times on the road. The last being when they left on their most recent trip - they were heading south on I5 and we were heading north out of Eugene. We missed connecting by about three hours.
We so enjoyed reading their blog, hearing how Annie was doing, what adventures they were doing with your girls, and what country roads they were traveling on.
May you know that you and your family are in the hearts of many this evening and in the days to come.
We will be traveling back to Blaine on the 25th of October. As Carol said, once you are back from Pismo Beach if you need anything, please let us know. Also if there is a memorial service locally for them I would like to be able to help in some way.
May God comfort you in these difficult days.
Prayers

Hey Steph,
This is Jordan. I just wanted to say how sorry I am about all of this. I can't believe it happened, and am in total shock. I just wanted you to know that I loved them and you very much. Your parents were amazing people. I will never forget them. I love you.
Oh, Stephanie, thank you to taking the time to let us all know, while you were in such a shocked state yourself.
I just can't believe it, it doesn't seem real. So it must seem very much like a nightmare, and you can't wake up, to you.
My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
Poor little Annie. Please give her a hug from me.
I know that all of us would be grateful for any news and updates, when you have the time and inclination.
God Bless, Penny, TX
There aren't words to express how sad Ifeel on hearing this news. Stephanie, your Mom's attitude had an uplifting effect on all of the RV blogging world, and she and your Dad will be missed so badly.

Stephanie
I am in shock! My prayers are with you and your family. I have followed your mothers blog since they were in Pismo earlier this year. She indicated they walked to McDonalds each morning, going along a portion of the freeway. I told her of a short cut. I live in Bakersfield, about 140 miles from Pismo, and we are going to Pismo Coast Village tomorrow, and I was looking forward to meeting your mother and father.
Words cannot express my grief I share with you. May God comfort you and especially your girls!

My thoughts are with you, Stephanie, and the rest of your family. I felt I knew Marge and Bruce though I'd never met them. I followed them the past year on their travels and looked forward to meeting them as others have been blessed enough to do. My heart goes out to all of you at this time.
Dear Stefanie-
I only just read your parents blog and heard there story today in our local paper. My heart goes out to you all. I live in Pismo Beach, does Annie have somewhere to stay until you get here? We would take her for you until you arrive if you need someone. I know you dont know us, but we are a loving family who could take good care of her until your arrival.

We are so saddened and shocked to hear of your tragic lost. We have never met your parents, but have read their blog for some time and exchanged comments on our travels.
It feels like the lost of someone we knew well and liked very much. Our thoughts and prayers are with you in this difficult time.
Stephanie and the whole family, we are certainly shocked by this tragedy, and we thank you for being able to let us know. All of us bloggers have been very fond of your Mom and Dad. We met them here in Benson, Arizona, and found them to be the lovely couple they appeared to be in her blog. Mackenzie and Zoey will miss them so. Our prayers are with you all.
Dear Stephanie,
The unexpected and tragic loss of your parents has shaken me. I only learned of their existence because of the tragedy, but after reading a bit of their blog I'm inspired by their love for each other, humor, and life choices. My heart goes out to all of you who are experiencing the devastation of their loss so personally.
I am overwhelmed with sadness at your loss. It is a loss for all of us. It is just uncomprehensible. I am so sorry. I am at a loss for words. My deepest condolences to your family.
Stephanie, I hope we aren't repeating ourselves. We were so shocked to hear of your terrible and tragic loss. Bruce and Margie were our friends through this blog, and we were fortunate to have met them in person here in Benson, Arizona. They had purposely stopped to meet us. They were as delightful in person as they always appeared to be in the blog. We will miss them terribly. Our prayers are with you and the whole family. Mackenie and Zoey will certainly miss the love and sharing they got so freely from their grandparents.
Stephanie, my name is Jan Irwin, husband Pete Irwin, we are so very sorry for this very tragic incident. We knew your mom and dad quite well, were from Tumwater and met them as we both were moving into Eagles Landing back in yr 2000the same week. We are so very shocked to hear of this and send our condolences, our prayers are with all of you back in Tumwater.
Words cannot express how heartbroken I am that this senseless tragedy has happened.
The world has lost two genuinely nice people.
Margie was my first "follower" and always had an encouraging word for me in my journey to becoming a full time RV'er.
I am so sorry for your loss.
Karen and SD.
There are no words...
Even though we have never met them but had planned to do so in the near future...we cried when we heard this news.
Your entire family are in our thoughts and prayers!
Praying for friends to Comfort you,
faith to uphold you,
and loving memories
to help your smile ) again.

I'm so very sorry for your Family's loss; as a resident of an area I consider God's Country (the county of San Luis Obispo, which includes Pismo), having one of our own harm anyone is so highly unusual. SLO is such a spectacular place, filled with so many spectacular people; your Parents must have fit in with this peaceful community wonderfully.
There were photos of Splash Cafe; I hope they enjoyed some chowder there. It may be the best in the State, if not the Country, if not the world. It is that good.
There is another photo from 10/13 that is labeled a "peek-a-boo" spot; I know that spot very well. It is on a trail from the State Park to the Ocean on the extreme south side of the park. I have personally napped on one of those branches, just listening to the ocean. It is an incredible spot amongst many incredible spots; just a few feet from the well visited Monarch Grove at the State Park. I expect it may have been too early for your Parents to see any Monarchs, but perhaps there were some early arrivals.
Finally, the top photo on the blog looks out towards one of my special joys, the Point San Luis Lighthouse. There are 2 walks per week out to the Lighthouse (there are now transports that go out there twice per month, but the walk is so much prettier; you can barely make out the private road to it in the photo); I hope your Parents may have walked out there.
People in SLO are, almost without exception, wonderful; whatever you need, you won't have to ask more than once. Our loving community grieves with you.
My heartfelt condolences to you.
Stephanie, my heart and prayers go out to your family. My husband is working out there and told me what happened. We will be praying here in Idaho-Wyoming for comfort in such a tragedy. Beth
Stephanie ~
Our condolences to you and your family. Like so many others who have commented, we had followed your mom's blog for quite awhile and had become friends with her. We were planning to meet in person this winter when they returned to Tumwater and we were in Seattle. Your mom and dad were an inspiration to us and provided so much positive energy to the RVing community. They will be greatly missed. I know there are no words that I can offer which would ease your pain right now, but please know that you are all in our thoughts and prayers.
-Connie & Tracy
Oh, God. Mere words could never even attempt to convey the range of emotions I am feeling for Bruce, Margie, their family and of course Annie. What a terrible shock.
Bruce and Margie were a treasure to the blogging community of RVers and travel enthusiasts. Margie was a positive and uplifting spirit and it was conveyed with grace in every one of her posts to my blog. I will miss her posts terribly.
I won't be able to visit many of the places they posted about without thinking of them, and I will cherish their memory always.
Stephanie,
We hold you and your family in our prayers. No words can express our shock and sadness when we read this. Your mom wrote about meeting us in Long Beach this summer (August 23rd posting). They were such nice people and we could see first hand how they loved Mackenzie and Zoey. Your dad would walk behind them while they rode their bikes or your mom would be doing some craft with them out on the picnic table.
Please know you are all in our prayers.
Debbie and Al Siems
Oh Stephanie, I am so very sorry for you and your family! I never posted on your mother's blog but I was a regular reader and enjoyed so reading about her travels, her weight loss, and her babysitting adventures. I am so glad she had this summer to spend with her beloved granddaughters. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

Hi Stephanie: I was a follower of your Mother's blog, and loved reading her writings. She had a delightful way with words, expressing herself with "soul and feeling". I always had the sense that she really enjoyed writing her blog posts.
May "the peace that passes all understanding" be yours & your family's at this time.
Sincerely, Renee
Dear Stephanie and family
My most heartfelt sympathy. I can't imagine how it must be for you ... shocking, unbelievable and so horribly devastating.
I met your Maggie and Bruce through Maggie's Blogs. Maggie has become a precious and loving, supportive friend. I shall miss her very much.
I so enjoyed reading about her beloved North West especially as we travelled the coast from Vancouver to San Francisco last year, and the Blogs freshened so many memories for us. My dream to return to USA from our New Zealand home was made more precious by the thought that we would try to meet with Margie and Bruce.
My loving prayers are with you all.

New Zealand.
My heartfelt condolences; I was a quiet follower of the blog. I'm shocked by the senseless nature of the tragedy.
Stephanie, My wife & I were utterly overwhelmed by the news of your parents tragic death. We have been following their travels and adventures and your mother followed us in a sens by almost daily posting her cheerful comments on our blog, she helped lessen the loss of my younger brother. and when they broke down in MO, last spring, I had the truck loaded to go to their aid, before your Mom called and said they managed to get a repair man on a Sunday, I will never forget talking to her and how sweet she was on the phone.I hope our Great Father in heaven will reach down and help make easy the burden on you & the Granddaughters. In my minds eye right now I can picture the scrapbooks that Margie was working on for Mackenzie & Zoey. Please accept our prayers,This is like losing a member of an extended family. God Bless you all. Sam & Donna.
Hello dear Stephanie. I'm in shock and in tears. William and I were so looking forward to meeting your Mom and Dad some day. Margie communicated with me and was always such a sweetheart, always a kind word to say. Your parents will be missed tremendously by many fellow bloggers here in Blogland and fondly remembered for a long time to come. Please accept our deepest sympathy and heartfelt condolences. God Bless you and your family.
With love and respect,

Oh my, words cannot express our shock and horror at the tragic loss of your parents. But words are all I can use to communicate our saddened hearts and can not imagine the pain you and your family are going through. Your parents are going to be terribly missed by the RV world, the family and community they have left behind.
Your mother's kind words and helpful sources of information glowed through her blog and her efforts to share their wonderful lives with us.
Many wishes for comfort and peace to your family in this difficult time.
Love, Karen and Steve
As fellow full timers my wife and I were saddened to hear about the loss of Margie and Bruce. We never met during our travels and will never get the opportunity to share their joy of life.

Thanks for posting the information at such a hard time. I truely appreciate it. I hope the best for your family.

Stephanie, we are heart broken to hear this news. Our prayers are with your family. We didn't know your parents, but the RVing community is very small and we're all family. May God be ever close to all of you at this time.

Stephanie...It is nearly 6 hours since I heard about your Mom & Dad. I just reached an internet connection & I am still in a state of shock & disbelief. Your Mom was always one of the first commentors on my blog every night & I have been reading your Mom & Dad's blog daily for about a year now. There are no words deep enough for me to express my sorrow & sadness at what has happened. My heart goes out to you, your friends & your family. I am bolstered by the thought Annie will be well taken care of. I'm glad you were able to blog about all this because your Mom & Dad would have liked that....Take care & all the best. AL from The Bayfield Bunch.
Dearest Stephanie,
We are so shocked and saddened to hear of the sudden loss of your parents. Your Mom wrote such an amazing blog and she sent emails and comments to me all the time. She offered such good advice and support.

Stephanie and family~
One of my favorite blogs to read~a couple so full of life and gusto and always able to see and enjoy anything enough to find the words to share with the rest of us.
I am simply in shock at this senseless tragedy. Like so many others (which is a true testament to the fellowship created by your Mom) my thoughts and prayers will be with all of you in the days and weeks to come.

I am horrified and saddened by your parent's death. What wonderful stories they have shared with us of their daily life, their grandchildren, the little Annie, and their love of adventures. The blogging community is reeling today and will be for a very long time. We have lost one of our very best.
I am sending you love and prayers for strength, pally.
Our thoughts and prayers will be with you and your family in this time of sorrow. We in the RVing world will certainly miss them. They were such uplifting people and helped me out greatly when I first started blogging on this site. I loved her writting style and beautiful pictures. May God bless you all.

How tragic! I can't even begin to imagine what your family is going through. Just know that there are alot of us here, in blogland, who will be praying for all of you.

Stephanie: How thoughtful of you to post the news about your parents on your moms blog. Although I'm fairly new to the RV blogging community, I felt a connection to your parents because I also live in Washington. Surprisingly, the news of their death has hit me very strongly and I can only imagine what you're going through. My sincere condolences to you and your family.

How dreadful, so sorry for your loss.
Please accept our sincere condolences to you and your family. We never met your parents, but we are similar in age, travel with 3 dogs, and have been RVing for almost 15-years. So we feel a connection in that way--and more importantly in the link of humanity that joins us all together on this planet.
We are so sorry for your loss--we can only hope their journey together continues and that somehow, you will find comfort in this unimaginable situation.
Just want you to know my sister, best friend and I were there right after it happened surrounding your parents with love and prayers. I am from Arroyo Grande and I am so sad for Margie and Bruce's family. While I am pleased that they at least were in a place that they loved, I am sad that tragedy struck in our area. Please take care. We are all hoping you can heal. Margie's blog has made me so proud to be living in such a great place! I will focus on the good--like she did.
Oh Stephanie, I am so sorry for this tragic loss! I didn't know your Parents but my friend Cindy at Rick Rack and Gingham was a dear friend of your Mother's! I just wanted to say that my heart is breaking for your family! I will certainly be praying for all of you to have strength as you move thru the days ahead!
Love in Christ! Theresa
I'm so sorry to hear of your loss. You and your family are in our thoughts and prayers.
Our deepest condolences, this is so tragic to read about. As avid walkers and RVers, it hits home.
We can't imagine your grief, and words just seem so trite. Please know that there are lot of people sending prayers and love to you and your family.
Stephanie,
Our hearts are saddened to hear about the death of your parents.
I followed your mom's blogs and she had been following ours. This has been a terrible shock through out the RVing world. May God keep you in his loving hands at this terrible time. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

As I was driving down the road today I saw a beautiful rainbow. I parked and looked back at the rainbow and saw another one right next to it. Then I
saw the sign post with the flowers on it and remembered the news from the previous day. I hope in some small way knowing two rainbows were in the sky today will be a comfort to you and your family. I never met Margie or Bruce but my thoughts are with you.
Stephanie, Thank you so much for posting on your mother & father's blog. Through this I was able to read all the wonderful comments from their many friends and acquaintences. I now feel as if I knew your parents. They must have been exceptionally special people. I wish I could have met them in person. I pray you and your family find peace in the memories of those two wonderful people. God bless your family. Jackie from Pismo Beach.
I am so very sorry for your loss.
Stephanie,
I'm so very sorry for your loss. I have been waiting to write something as I try to gather my thoughts and emotions. I'm so glad that your parents got to spend so much time with their "grands" this past summer. I think your children will remember that special time for the rest of their lives and I'm sure you'll be happy that they all spent such precious time together. I have followed your Mom's blog for the past year. Take care of yourself and your children during this most difficult of times. Such a senseless tragedy.

Please accept our sympathies on the loss of your parents. It is so sad to hear such news. We did not know them, but they are part of our family too, the family of fulltime rv'ers. May you be consoled in knowing that they enjoyed a lief-estyle that is full of fun, adventure, and lasting friendships.
Although I never became one of their "official" followers I have been enjoying reading about their familiy and adventurers for several months now. I live in San Luis Obispo so if there is anything I can do let me know.
I am so sorry for your loss. May the knowledge that so many loved your parents and are now praying for you all give you strength and peace during this difficult time.
I'm in shock at this moment....just read about your parents. My heart goes out to you and your family. Oh my........how your parents loved you all so much, and of course little Annie...and how much they touched so many of us out here in the world of RVers, Weight Watchers, and Blogs. I'm one of the bloggers who kept in touch with Margie. I still can't believe its real.....they are gone (although in body....but CERTAINLY NOT IN SPIRIT! The world lost two very special people. May God bless you and give you peace. You and the grands have many wonderful, loving memories to cherish!!
Stephanie, we are so very sorry for your loss. I received the last blog comment at 9:25pm the night before the accident and it is a lovely tribute to just how in touch your mother was with the feelings of a parent on the daughter’s wedding day. She’d also been very interested in following the progress of our little dog, Ditka, as he underwent multiple surgery…a testament to the deep caring your Mom always seemed to express. This is the first internet connection I’ve reached since hearing the news. As you are seeing from responses here, the RVing community had tremendous love for your parents and they will be sorely missed. Your mom and I have been following each other’s blogs for years now and she could always be counted on to take time to leave wonderful, encouraging comments. Although we never actually met, I’m feeling that in your Mom I lost a very dear friend. You and your family are in our thoughts and prayers.

I am a resident of San Luis Obispo county and found this blog when our local TV station posted a link.
Stephanie, I wanted you to know how heartsick I am for you and your family. Reading through your parents' blog has been such a treat. I know they will be missed by all who have met them.
Please know that your family is in the prayers of many, many people here on the central coast. It is a tragedy that has touched all of us, and we share your grief.

My wife would always talk about your mother and her blog. What a tragic event. May you find comfort in how the RV bloggers loved your parents and their RV journey.
We are so sorry to hear of this tragedy..and very shocked..we have been following Bruce and Margie for quite while now..they will surely be missed deeply...this tragedy has definitely touched us all...you her family are in our thoughts and prayers.
Rick and Elaine Cochrane (Canada)
As part of the RV blogging community I feel the great sorrow that words just cannot express.
They touched us all in the virtual world.
They were some of the best.
Stephanie,
I am so sorry to hear about your loss. I have been reading your mother's blog for about a year and so enjoyed her descriptions of your parents' travels. She was a special person.
This morning I thought, as I do many days, "I wonder what Bruce and Margie have been up to this weekend." so went to read the blog. This was a shock to me as someone who only knew them as interesting people who shared their lives. I know it had to be terrible for the family members.
You are in my prayers.
Cheryl in SC
Second comment here of an anonymous nature; I hope you can find some solace amongst all these posts. Your Parents obviously touched many and will be missed.
I read many of your Parents posts; I'm so glad that they experienced much that this area has to offer. From Elephant Seals to Farmers Markets, your Parents clearly saw much of what our lovely area has to offer.
Again, if you need help in any way, PLEASE ask; Central Coasters need an outlet to help beyond simply leaving flowers or saying prayers. For example, if you need someone to drive their RV (or the vehicle they presumably pulled along behind them) back to Washington, I'd be happy to do so. The Coast Starlight travels to San Luis Obispo and, if I recall correctly, stops in Tumwater, too. I have multiple Family along the I5 corridor, so if I can't do the NB trip in a day, I have places to stop.
Wish I could offer more than my time; all the circumstances related to this tragedy make me, and this area, heartsick.
Stephanie, I'm sory for your lost. Stay strong.

So sorry to know about this and my thoughts and prayers are with the family and all involved. We are fulltimers as well with Pismo/Oceano as our homebase. I had heard of this terrible accident on the news and had no idea it was 'one of us' until this morning. I had not been a follower of their blog, but found out through Karin-in-the-woods blog and put 2+2 together. So sad for you all.
Hello, Wendy and family, my name is Rev. Jane Voigts and I am pastor at the UMC in San Luis Obispo, where your parents had been worshiping the past several weeks. We are keeping your family close in prayer, and please let me know if I and our congregation can be of assistance to you in any way. Our phone is (805) 543-7580.
Stephanie,
I'm sorry about your loss. I'm with the San Luis Obispo Tribune newspaper and we'd like to have you offer a few thoughts about your parents for a story we're doing if you have a few minutes. I'm at 805-781-7922.
Sincerely,

I was an avid follower and am sorry for your loss, Take Care and God Bless you as I know he will Bless them
Oh my God! I found this out through another blog and wanted to stop by with my condolences. I wanted to let you know that your mother was one of the sweetest bloggers I knew. She always made sure to provide every new follower with a warm welcome and address every and any questions that ever came up. I'm so sorry for your family's loss. You are all in my thoughts and prayers. RIP Margie and Bruce.
This is so sad, and seems so very unfair..we are so shocked..your mom was a great blogger and there will be a deep void in our blogger family...we are so sorry for your loss..how very tragic..you are in our hearts and prayers..
I do not know your parents and have never heard of their blog until today. I am so very sorry for your loss! My parents are both deceased from cancer, but my Dad lost both of his parents in the early 70's to a tragic accident similar to your parents. I hope you take comfort in the memories of your parents & feel their spirts with you for eternity. They will live on in you & your children FOREVER and they are now looking down over you from Heaven.
I pray God pours a whole lotta grace and peace on you, the beloved ones your parents leave behind. I loved seeing the pics on the blog and what a lovely relationship they had. I think that, tragedy aside, they must still be walking together in the other world, enjoying each other still. Neither had to suffer the loss of the other in this life. That, for them, is a blessing, even if it's grief and pain now for you.
I hope justice is done on their behalf, and I wish only the best for the family and friends they leave behind.
So sad...
I was terribly saddened to hear that this horrific tragedy occurred so close to my home, and I was witness to the aftermath while driving between my home in Nipomo and San Luis Obispo. I wish only the best to you and the rest of your family. I hope some day in the future you can come to the Central Coast and enjoy what it has to offer -- that which your parents apparently experienced while they were here.
I am glad you mentioned Annie in your blog entry as I wondered about her.
All the best to you.....
I am a resident of San Luis Obispo County and want you to know that so many residents here are saddened at the loss of your parents. I'm glad to hear they had good times at Pismo and had already made friends there. I pray you will be comforted as you come here to take care of your parents' affairs. Just want you to know that so many of us do care.

I'm a fellow blogger. Margie had great advice for me when I was planning a road trip, she always had kind words for everyone and she will be missed. There are no words for something like this but I wanted to express my deepest sympathy for your loss.

Hello. I was driving to work a little after 7:40 A.M. on Saturday. I was driving North on the 101 Freeway. A CHP office flew up behind us with their lights flashing. After a pang of guilt, quickly looking to my speedometer, then merging to the right, I spotted just where the officer was going. The smoking/ steaming vehicle that had gone off the road had just struck these neat people.. It is very sad that people can be so selfish and incapable of thinking past their own noses. But I don't want to show anger here. This is about realizing how short life can be and how we should all value WHAT we have and WHO we love WHILE we have them. Life can be uncertain. My thoughts are with your loved ones. I'm sorry for your grief. georgiannahemen@yahoo.com
My deepest sympathy to you and your family.

Stephanie, your Mom was a commenter on my blog, I'm also a lifetime member of WW, and she was always so encouragaing when I posted about my own journey. As you already know, the full-time RVing community is close, even though many of us have never met, we care deeply about each other. Your parents will be missed!
Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this time.
My condolances to you & your family. I am SO sorry to read this - I was just getting to know your mom.

I am so very sorry to hear about this. Words can not even begin....my thoughts and prayers will be with you, things like this are not suppose to happen.
Stephanie,
Thank you so much for taking the time to share the news with your mom & dad's blog friends. I followed their blog, and your mom followed and commented on mine frequently. Blog world misses them so much. Their kindness and open nature made them instantly likable. Although I never got the chance to meet them, I considered them friends. My very favorite blog post your mom made was when she took pictures and commented that you don't put the new toilet paper roll on the dispenser. She was a hoot! I'll miss her!
Nellie
So sorry for your loss. I am praying for your and your family.
Many many hugs to you all!!

Peace and grace to you,

Stephanie, I wanted to add my condolences to the many previous comments. Your parents were very special and I'm so sorry for your loss. I'm glad I was able to follow your Mom's blog and get to know her and Bruce through reading about their adventures. I will miss her daily posts and her comments.
Barbara
Stephanie and family, I am sorry for the loss of your parents. I enjoyed so very much following your mom's writings and opinions of her daily events. Your mom's take on life and viewpoints were refreshing, witty, warm and fun. Your mom was clear to point out it was her blog and she would say as she saw fit. Your mom sounded like one tough lady, but full of love, especially for her family. I am happy for your parents that they were able to enjoy their life on what appeared to be their own terms, and gratefull that they shared their full rich lives with others thru this blog. Your parents truely were two inspirational people, my heartfelt prayers to you,
Howard
I am so, so sorry this has happened. You parents are special people and very inspiring to many. I wanted to be your Mom when I grew up - she is so incredibly lovely and loving.
Prayers for you and your family.
I don't know what to say. This is so very sad. God bless them and their family.

Stephanie,
My heartfelt condolences go out to you and your family. I had found your mom's blog early this past summer and though I wasn't an "official" follower, I'd stop in and read her blog weekly. I so enjoyed hearing about the grandkids and other happenings in their lives.
My thoughts are with you and your family.
Hi Stephanie and family, I was a blog follower of Margie's. She welcomed me as a fellow weight-watcher. I enjoyed hearing about her travels. I am stunned and horrified and angered by what has happened. It is utterly tragic. I am so very sorry for your loss. Margie seemed like a brave and happy soul. My deepest condolences, Michaela (Sydney, Australia) xxxooooo
I have just now heard of this tragedy. Sending condolences, hugs to you and your family, and prayers.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you family. Terrible news and devastating.
I am so extremely sorry to hear that. I'd never "met" your parents, but read about them just today on Lin's blog (Duck and Wheel With String). My prayers go out to you and your family. What a difficult time. May God bless you and give you peace as you deal with this. Thanks for writing and letting us know.
Hi Steph this is Deb Goudeau I heard at the store about your parents and it just shook me to the core. I know that you probably don't feel that you will ever get justice for them with this but whats more important is to work towards calm and happy thoughts when they were with you and not anger. I'm so sorry for your children who also lost their grandma and grandpa...
What a horrific loss, Margie. My prayers are with you and your family. I can't even imagine.
I really feel sad with what happened with your family. I never thought that with just a blink of an eye, they're gone. And it's true that in times like these, we must have someone who can help us and give us justice with this accident. An accident lawyer (Oakland) specifically is the one reaching out to victims of accidents or crimes. (Bay Area) Injury attorneys were also the ones who gives legal advices to their clients on how they can go through these kinds of situations.
Stephanie, we feel sorry for your tragic loss. It's difficult to accept reality when you lost your loved ones in a tragic accident. We know that you are suffering from the wounds of your loss, but there is a bright world ahead you. We hope all the best for you.
so sad sorry
Making the move on your own may seem as if it will save you money, but you’ll save a great deal of time by hiring movers. Look for movers who have a good reputation in the community for best results.
I stumbled upon this blog today and I cannot believe how it has ended. I am so sorry for your loss. It is so tragic. It illustrates how life is short. Your lovely parents lived life to the fullest that must be something you have been able to hold on to, that and they left this world together holding hands. All my best to you.
