Update

Hello Everyone!

I have received many emails with beautiful words and wishes for my family.  I wanted to update you all to tell you thank you for your priceless words.

First, the good.  The "beast" motorhome is gone.  Unfortuantely it did not sell; however; through legal channels we were able to return it to the lender.  It was very difficult to get rid of it, but we are in no way able to keep it in our life.  It is not a motorhome for a family like ours to vacation in once a summer.

Second, the legal issues are still going forward in California.  If you want you can check on-line to see, it is not something I like to talk about much.

Third and the hardest is that our loving Annie is no longer with us.  She passed in April and I'm sure is in a happier place.  She was miserable without mom & dad.  We did our best to care for and love her, but with our busy lives we just couldn't be with her as much as mom & dad.  Her health literally began failing immediately after we picked her up in San Luis Obispio.  We hated to see her continue to lose weight and suffer.  The "grands" miss her very much.

We will be ending our summer in Maui on a family vacation; where my parents took us many times.  So lot's of happy memories watching my kids have fun in the same place my parents took Dennis & I.

Thanks to you all for your words of encouragement.  I found this great picture that brings me happiness thinking of just how long my parents loved each other.  I hope you enjoy it too.

Thank you so much for sharing this update with us. I know it's sad about Annie but she is now with her family and is running free and happy. I wish the motorhome would have sold for you, but at least you got rid of it. It would definitely be a burden for a young family. We miss them, also.

Thanks for your update! We had been afraid for Annie, as her life was so totally involved with your parents. You were angels to care for her until the end.

We enjoyed Bruce and Margie, we enjoyed a dinner with them in Benson, AZ, and we enjoyed their neat blog.

Lots of us thought they were great people, and we do hope you'll continue to update us on the "Grands" periodically!

Thanks for the update and the photos of your Mom and Dad.

I've always wondered how Annie was doing and knew she'd miss her Mom and Dad terribly. I'm sorry to hear she is gone but happy to know she will not be in any further pain or sorrow.

Thank you so much for the update. I have thought of your Mom and Dad so much and also wondered time and and time again how everyone was doing. I kind of thought that little Annie would be lost with her 'Mom & Dad'. She loved them so much and I'm sure it was very difficult for her as she just couldn't understand what happened to her life the way she used to know it. I'm sure she's with her 'Mom & Dad' right now and oh so very, very happy.

Thanks so much for the update! It is so good to hear from you!!
Mike and I are so saddened to hear of the passing of Annie. She was so loved by your mom and dad and was so lucky to have your sweet family to care for her at the end of her life. She is now free of pain and the three of them are together again.
Sorry the MH didn't sell but it is an awful market! Someone will give it a good home and one day be rolling down the road again.
You have gone through so many hard things lately and have handled them with grace and courage! Your parents would be very proud of you.
Please know we continue to lift you and your family up in our prayers.
Thanks for the pictures....we will cherish Bruce and Margie always!
Please update us on the "grands" when you have a chance. I bet they are growing up! Take care!

Dave and I were just wondering about your family and how you are doing. I'm glad that "The Beast" won't continue to be a burden to you. How I wish that the legal issues would painlessly resolve themselves. Sorry to hear about Annie--you did the best you could. Thank you so much for the update, Stephanie. We think of you often and our prayers are with you.

Thank You so very much for updating us! We just met Sue and Doug, who had met your Mom and Dad, and discussed how it has almost been a year... so sad!

We all know how this time has been so difficult for each one of you. And sweet Annie. They are together now.

I hope your vacation is a peaceful respite full of wonderful memories what warm your hearts with joy and gladness. And Peace!

Hugs...

Stephanie thank you for the family update. Your parent's would of been proud of you the way you have dealt with all the things life throws at you. Annie was loved and I know you did your best for her.

I thought of Margie yesterday heavily...as we were carrying the last load out of the house. She knew we were thinking about moving out of our home and living in the House on wheels. She had encouraged me about decorating it the way I wanted...and to make it a home. She would of loved what all I am doing. I found the matching glass that I had given her with the wildflowers on it...I put it in the RV. It will be like a little bit of your mom is with me on the new adventure.
Your parents were adorable on their wedding day.Sweet memories for you I hope when looking thru the many albums she had made.

Hugs to you and the family...have a sweet memory making trip.

It still tugs at my heart when this blog is updated. I guess in some strange way I wish it were your parents blogging again.

Sadly, this is not the case.

I am sad to hear about Annie. But she is in a better place now, closely guarding your parents in heaven.
I am however glad that you are able to close the door on the Motorhome.

Your parents would be proud of all that you are doing with moving forward and continuing with your lives.

Margie always said to make every day a "blog worthy day". I think of her often when I'm out and about and how I will make my day to be blogworthy too.

Your parents touched so many lives and continue to do so even after their tragic passing.

Enjoy the vacation and please keep us posted on how you and your family are doing.

I was just thinking of your parents this week and that it would soon be a year ago since the accident. Poor Annie. It's so sad for pets when they lose their parents. Thanks for the updates - many people cared about your parents and it's nice to know that you and your family are carrying along after such a loss.

I still check in to see how you are all doing. I guess now that Annie is with your mom and dad, she is probably at peace as well. I wish you and your family the peace in knowing they are all together once again. I'm sorry the legal issues continue. I hope that is over soon and you don't have to deal with it anymore.

Hugs and love to you all.

What a beautiful photo of your mom and dad. Sorry to hear about Annie, but I'm not surprised. At her age it would be difficult to adapt. I face the same thing with my old dog if anything should happen to me. It was good of you to take her in.
