put to rest

Many of you have been emailing wondering how things are going.  On Friday we were finally able to place my parents ashes into a beautiful rock in Tumwater.  They had chosen this many years ago and I had never been there until yesterday.  It was very peaceful and exactly where I would've picked had we had to make that decision for them.

Mackenzie was able to help them put the urn's into the cylinders and that made her very happy.  Zoey opted not to help with that job.  But as usual Mackenzie was always the one to help out grandma and papa when she was asked.  In a couple months they will have bronze markers put in place and that will be a nice final touch.  It is so nice to have one aspect of this "nightmare" resolved and know that they are together where they choose to be.

Now on to the difficulty of selling the "beast" of a motorhome.  It is so unfortunate that we cannot keep this beautiful RV; but it is just not practical in our lives.  Besides mom always said "just sell it."  Hopefully, this economy will not make this too challenging.

Till next time . . . thanks for all your nice messages.

Stephanie

How thoughtful of your parents to have their plans made, making it somewhat easier for you. I hope this resting place will provide you with peace and comfort.
Their lives touched so many people in so many different ways. They definately left their footprints in the sand. Blessings, Kathy

Stephanie,
Thanks so much for the update. I am so glad that Bruce and Margie have been laid to rest together. It sounds like a perfect place of beauty for two people that loved the beauty of this earth. I am glad they had so much already decided....that helps you so much.

We continue to think of you often and keep you and your family in our prayers. We will also pray that a special couple is led to purchase that beautiful motorhome. It would make your parents happy to know that it is being loved and cared for as they did.

Hope Annie is doing ok. I know Bruce and Margie loved her so much and took such good care of her.

Hugs,
Mike and Gerri Jones

Thank you for the update. We too have thought of your folks often. Most recently as we were walking along a trail along the Snake River.

There final resting place sounds very peaceful. So glad that your little family was able to put them to rest together.

Hoping that the motor home sells quickly. Wish we were had the means to even consider it for us but that is not in the cards. It is a lovely motor home and served your parents well.

Take are and give those girls a hug from this Grammy.

Stephanie you are so beautiful to keep thinking of us and letting us know what you are doing.

You now have a special place of peace to visit and remember your parents. It amazes me how many things were prepared for you to help get you through the 'nightmare.'

I've been thinking for a few days of adding my own memorial link to Bruce and Margie's Full-Time Journey as Rick and Paulette have done.

They've had a profound affect on my life through Margie's writing and if I miss them I can only imagine how difficult it is for you.

Blessings.

As others have said, thank you for taking the time to give all of us an update. Thankfully some of the difficult decisions had already been made. Hoping you will be able to sell the motor home in a timely manner for a fair price.

Not a day goes by but that I don't spend time thinking of your Mom and Dad. Although we didn't hear much from your Dad, he was right there on each page your Mom wrote.
Her blogs brought joy to so many lives.

I echo the other comments and say thank you for the update. It is nice of you to allow us, the blog pallies, some closure in the loss of your parents.

I still think of them and stop in here to see if there is an update. I hope you are all coping as well as can be expected. Give Annie and the girls a big hug from me.

You are so strong, and your mom would be so proud of you and all you are doing. Praying the RV will sell to an amazing couple who will use it to live life fully as your parents did.

Stephanie, I wanted to share something I got off another blogger. The link is from Joy and Phil (Backroad Chronicles).

A book of your blog. This would be a great idea for the girls, possibly a christmas gift. Anyway, thought I'd pass it on.

ps. I miss Margie's blog!

God bless you and your family! You are you mother's daughter Sweetheart. I'm so glad that dear Margie was able to guide you with her loving words on paper--this was "typical, loving, Margie". I miss her...along with many others! In my prayers I thank her for being in my life....she touched so many....and still does even after leaving this earth. You think maybe you could post a picture of the grands with Annie??? I'd love that! So glad to hear that you were able to place their ashes were they wanted....and they are together. Your mom and dad would be very proud of you.

p.s. I'm also trying to track down Margie's instruction for the crockpot oatmeal she did.... Love, Tricia

Stephanie,

So glad your Mother and Father are at rest together, the way they wanted to be. If there is any kind of blessing in this horrible accident, it is that they were together. You remain in our prayers.

Stephanie. You and your family have experienced a nightmare. You will need much time and patience with one another and yourselves to heal. Words cannot express my sympathy for you.

I am so sorry for this tragedy. I never knew Bruce and Margie, but if the sorrow felt by their many friends is an indicator, they were wonderful people.

Stephanie I am so happy that your parents have been laid to rest and I can't say how proud they would have been on how you have handled this horrible tragedy. We all so appreciate you keeping us updated. I am praying for you and your family in the days and weeks to come while your hearts heal.

Take Care

Stephanie and family,

Just wanted to tell you all Merry Christmas, I know that it must be very hard for you all at this time of the year. Your parents have been in my thoughts a lot lately and just last nite my husband and I were talking about the record snowfall that we had at Christmas a couple years back when I remembered your Mom telling me about the trails of getting propane for the motor home that Christmas, it was an adventure but they wouldn't of missed being with you and your family for anything. I know that they are with you today even though we don't see thier physical body they are with us all. Take care Stephanie and know that I say a prayer for all of you each and everyday. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

Pam
