Our current location: Neskowin, Oregon
We got our service on the RV completed before lunch time on Tuesday and we were on our way to the beautiful coast of Oregon. We had made a one-night reservation at one of our member parks, Neskowin Creek RV Resort. This is the only Oregon location in our K/M Resorts program. We can stay here for FREE. This is only the second time we have stayed here. The park is located right on Highway 101 just south of the small town of Neskowin.
Inside the security gate, you cross over Neskowin Creek on a one-way bridge. The office/clubhouse is on the left once you get over the bridge. The man working in the office was not overly friendly....but nice enough. He had everything ready for us to sign and we selected our own site. We did not need the cable TV service at $1.00 per day and we did not take the WiFi service at $1.00 a day either. He admitted that their WiFi was "iffy" at best and they were working to get better service.
This RV park has 80 full hook-up sites with 30/50 amp electric. The interior roads are gravel and in good condition. The pull through sites, which are the majority, are 60 feet long. The park was only about 1/2 full when we pulled in. The sites are grassy and have picnic tables.
We had selected site #18 and it faced a large grass area and lots of trees. This park is tucked into a small area with hills and forests surrounding it. It is not immediately on the beach, but you can hear the sound of the waves on the other side of the small hill at Neskowin State Park. Just a short walk up the highway is access to the beach area.
After we got ourselves settled in, Bruce and I took a walk to check things out. The restrooms are connected to the office/clubhouse building. Upon inspection of the ladies restroom I found them to be exceptionally clean. Same thing for the small laundry room behind the clubhouse. 3 washers and 4 dryers and a very clean room.
In the large building behind the clubhouse is an indoor pool and spa and a workout room with some great looking equipment for the guests to use. The pool was beautiful and warm. Crystal clear water, too.
The resort clubhouse had several long tables for social gatherings, a small kitchen, a trading library, TV and puzzles and games. They host social functions like Mexican Train, Bingo, potluck meals, and so forth.
They have a playground, shuffleboard, horseshoes, basketball court and a tennis court. Locally you can find a golf course, hiking trails, and fishing areas.
Although this is a membership "only" park, I inquired in the office if the general public is allowed to camp here. The office manager told me that during the summer months it is kept for members only, which include Coast to Coast, ROD and RPI guests. After the summer season is over the general public is invited to stay here at $35.00 per day or $300.00 per month.
If you want a quiet place to hang out for one night or for several days, this is a nice place to be. I'm sure we will return for a longer stay at some point in the future.
Until next time....so long for now!
Daughter Amy is off work today due to rain. Can't dig in the rain. She took little one for her one year checkup. I am here with just the 3 year old. Gives me a little time to catch up on blogs. I've missed doing that the last three weeks.
ReplyDeleteYour current park looks really nice. You need to be a campground reviewer with Woodalls or something. Do you post your reviews on www.rvparksreviews.com???
Ooops - sorry. Make that rvpark.reviews. Not rvparkS
ReplyDeleteLooks like another nice campground in your membership group. Being in a campground membership certainly has its perks...very nice places to stay at GREAT prices!!
ReplyDeleteI have a new appreciation of nice washer/dryers. Those in the state campground look so old and yukky I won't put my clothes in them although we get free laundry. I'll keep using mine in the MH.
Take care and safe traveling!!

I had to look up Neskowin, Oregon on the map as I'd never heard of that town on the coast. Looks like a very nice campground and you sure got the best price!! Thanks for another great review.
ReplyDeleteWow, nice digs! Love that they have a workout room :)
ReplyDeleteI am curious if you had cell phone capabilities from this park. I know this is while ago so hopefully you can remember - LOL I am looking at purchasing a membership from this park. I know it is owned by the same folks the are the KM Resort folks.

of course is a penalty. Say you're doing as well at Chemistry, and as you are doing at Maths Extension 2, then instead of splitting your study time equally between the two (just because they are both worth 2 units each), you should spend more time on Extension 2, simply because it scales higher. If you want to be able to hit the ball further and harder, you should keep in mind to keep your grip on the bat loose, your swing should begin with your legs and hips, and finally, you must always follow your bat through.

Looked like you posted this in the very early morning. But the best part is not the campground but the magnificent proposal rock and the "ghost forest" petrified wood from an ancient forest that is located right in the surf. Neskowin is a very unique little village with nothing but a nice resturant and a post office. Glorified shacks are $300,000 while real houses are well over a million but as they say, " location is everything". We are actually considering a second home there.
