RV PARK REVIEW: Bordertown Casino & RV Resort in Reno, Nevada

Our current location:  La Pine, Oregon

We're in La Pine now for several days but I wanted to back up with an RV park review from a couple of nights ago......

After leaving Highway 50 in Reno, we transitioned to Hwy. 395 toward California.  We stopped just at the border....about 100 yards from it.....to get a site at the Bordertown Casino and RV Resort for one night.  The resort has 50 paved sites with full hook-ups.  The entry area to the park was nice looking.

In the office we were met by a nice man who got us checked-in without problems.  We did not make a prior reservation here and were lucky to get one of their spaces.  Later in the evening we saw that all but 1 site were taken.   We were assigned site #6.  All have 30/50 amp service.   The sites are beautifully done, although not a lot of space between rigs.  They all have concrete pads and ours was really level.  Grassy areas around a patio with stone table and benches at every site.

All of the sites in the main rows are pull-thrus.  There were only 2 back-in sites and they are on the main entry road which is wider than the others.  The roads were all paved and in excellent condition.

There was a small laundry room across the street from our site.  Very clean machines.  There were restrooms and showers in the same building, but there were folks in there so I did not take any photos....that would be rude!  The facilities looked clean and well cared for.

Next door to the RV park is a small casino with a restaurant.  We did not venture inside so I have no information on that to report.   We found this resort in the Trailer Life Directory and we got a Good Sam discount which gave us a rate of $28.00 for the night.  This park also has great WiFi service, which is FREE.  This place seemed geared for us "older folks" as there did not appear to be any attraction for families with children....no playground, no pool.  It was very nice for our needs, we enjoyed our stay and would choose to stay here again in the future.

Until next time.....so long for now!

  8. Finally got a day to catch up. Worked 50+ hours this past week at the Portland Rose Festival in spite of closing early two days and being closed one day due to heavy rain.

It is good to get caught up with you and your travels. I want to echo the others with your RV Park reviews. I am hoping we can use them some time in our travels.

Continue your trip with safe journeys.

  9. Hi there Margie! I wanted to thank you for becoming a "follower" of my blog!! It's fun having the pictures there to see who's reading along.

I enjoyed reading your post today. I was thinking a few pictures in the shower facility would spice things up a bit ;) Maybe if you got thrown out, it would make for some exciting drama! Haha!

Feel free to post on my blog anytime. I enjoyed having you stop by for a "visit"

  12. However, the non-poker gaming was not direct and in-your-face, it was more subtle and off to the side. I was able to walk right in from the huge parking lot and get my bearings immediately; poker room in the big area immediately to my left.eclipse casino
