RV PARK REVIEW: Miller Creek, Plus More Wildflowers

Welcome aboard to my newest "Followers"  Kimberly and Jerry Peterson.  I appreciate the attention you give to my blog, and THANK YOU very much.  I hope you will find something here to entertain you or inform you on what our RV lifestyle is all about.

Last week when we arrived in Johnson City we checked into the Miller Creek RV Resort which is actually about 5 miles south of the town on Hwy. 281. 

This is a nice park in a pleasant setting with Miller Creek running right behind the back-in sites.  We pulled up to the office and were greeted by a nice woman behind the counter.  She already had our reservation in front of her and the process was swift.  We paid $28.00 (all tax inc.) per night for a pull through site with full hook-ups, including 50 amp electric.  Great price!

This is a back-in site by the creek and it is very wide with plenty of room for slides to be extended.

This is one of the pull-through sites, which are long enough for a big rig and the toad behind or in front of it.

Here is our big rig with a little Casita trailer next door.  Plenty of room for all of us! 

There are some buildings on the property for guest use, including a Watering Hole for entertainment and card games.  They have a Recreation Room with a small kitchen where the park provides a meal for purchase every Wednesday evening.  When we were there it was a hamburger, baked beans, and potato salad for $3.00.  A bargain, but we did not go and eat there.

They also have a Dog Washing Station.  The sink for this purpose seems adequate for small dogs, but I don't know what folks with large dogs do.  They have a fold up table by the sink and I assumed you could set it up for clipping and grooming your own dog.

They have nice restrooms (although small) and a coin laundry.  There is FREE WiFi, too!  We were pleased with this park and will definitely return when we come back to the Hill Country of Texas.

On one of our drives through the area we found a lot of beautiful wildflowers lining the highways. 
We loved the Bluebonnets and the Indian Painbrush.  I think we even spotted one called Indian Blanket.  Phlox were in full bloom, too.  It was a beautiful display for early April.  Later this month, I expect the flowers to be even more plentiful.
