I have to play a bit of catch up here with Welcoming a new Follower. Somehow, over the past few days I missed seeing that Jenn had joined my RV blog as a "Follower". This afternoon I found that Ken and Nanette had also joined my group. Therefore, I would like to express my appreciation to the newest here and say THANK YOU very much. Your attention to my blog is appreciated as I know there are many out there to read and follow.
Not a lot going on around Tumwater today. We did take Annie the Schnauzer to the vet for a little check up. Her heart rate and pulse are still good with the 3 prescription drugs she takes, but we are now increasing the Lasix and adding potassium. Good thing she has her own weekly pill container to help us keep things organized. We are also going to switch her to a canned dog food. She has very bad teeth and is beginning to exhibit signs of chewing difficulties. To put her under for a thorough teeth cleaning would put her at risk since she has advanced heart disease. The decay on the teeth poses a risk, but the anesthesia could be a greater risk. Like I've said....It's Always Something!
Bruce has spent the better part of the past 2 days doing income tax work for his Aunt Phyllis and for our son-in-law's Mom. Got those 2 jobs finished. He did ours when we were in Pismo Beach. Here in Washington state we do not pay state income tax, but in California they do. When Bruce downloaded the necessary forms to file the taxes for his aunt, we noticed some funny items on the "Other Income Adjustment" form. There were 3 items you could name as additional income:
* Rewards from crime hotlines
* False imprisonment compensation
* Non-resident alien alimony
So, if you are a resident of California and watch America's Most Wanted for those rewards, be sure to list that as additional income!!!
Here's a photo of beautiful Mt. Rainier taken last fall.
Spring is just around the corner !!
Until next time......so long for now !!
Hi Margie,
ReplyDeleteThank you for the kind welcome. I am a reader of your weight loss blog and love your writing style so I thought I'd follow your RV blog too. Welcome back to Washington State!
Doesn't that beat all when a state imprisons a person falsely, and then charges them tax as income earned as compensation for the imprisonment!
ReplyDeleteWell, I guess if I see any known criminals here in California, I'll just keep the info to myself. Glad to see Annie's still doing o.k.
ReplyDeleteI am so sorry to read about your motorhome/car breakdown. I have been offline a few days due to travel so I needed to catch up. So glad you got things resolved and are back in Tumwater safely. Oh the life of full-timing!!
ReplyDeleteLet's hope March brings us beautiful springtime weather. We could all use it.
Stay safe!
Gerri and Mike
