I decided not to be a "blathering poster" today. So here it is....short and sweet.
We woke up to gray skies at 6:30. Pulled our walking duds on and took a walk up Hwy. 1 past the Marie Callendar's Restaurant and back to the RV park again. It took us 1 hour for the walk.
We came back showered, dressed and ate our crockpot oatmeal with blueberries. Then we went to the church we always attend when we're here in Pismo Beach. It is the First United Methodist Church of Arroyo Grande.
After church, we drove over to the local Trader Joe's store. They have so many interesting things at Trader Joe's and I could easily spend an hour or more looking everything over. Today we just bought some fresh fruit, whole wheat cous cous, and a container of steel cut oatmeal. Then we were on our way back home.
Bruce is watching some NFL game on TV and I'm reading blogs. The rain is falling hard and steady.
Enough said for today. See....no blathering on and on.
Until next time.....so long for now!
You keep on Blathering we enjoy reading and pictures of your travels, that is about all we can do right now is dream.Keep it up.
ReplyDeleteThanks Kenny and Angela for the nice comment. I'll just keep blathering I guess. :)
ReplyDeleteGuess we're all just going to have us a big old blatherblab rally one day:))
ReplyDeleteI enjoy all of your posts and especially enjoyed your adventures in Southern California since we used to live in Riverside. I also lived in Huntington Beach when I first moved to California. I like Pismo Beach, too, so it's fun to see it through your eyes.
ReplyDeleteI miss your blathering! Just didn't sound like you! We will be heading down the west coast soon...just waiting till after the big storms forecast for CA this week to be over.
ReplyDeleteLove that Trader Joes. I know what you mean about just wandering and looking at everything.
Margie, I have an award for you. When you have a moment, please stop by and pick it up.
ReplyDeleteThere are blatherers and there are blatherers. YOu do a fine job. Don't cut down just because somebody else thinks some people go too far. Anyone who doesn't like your stories doesn't have to read them, but the rest of us will keep reading you.
ReplyDeleteIf your blogging is blathering - then I'm a blathering fan, Margie. We love Trader Joe's especially the great ready made meals they make. We've enjoyed several great dinners for the 2 of us for less than $10! Can't beat that!
ReplyDeleteHi Al....yeah, maybe we could all get a convention together for us "blatherer's". Could be fun!
ReplyDeleteThanks for your comments.
Hi Margie and Bruce,
ReplyDeleteWe have been enjoyed your photos and information about Pismo Coast Village. We have stayed there a few times and have fully enjoyed ourselves. The only problem we have had is not being able to get in due to our "guest" status. How easy is it for you, as a member to make reservations during the summer? We are just wondering if it is a advantage to be a member vs. a guest.
Thanks for your blog - really enjoy it.
Sunni: Thanks for reading my blog and I'm glad you have enjoyed it. Truthfully, we don't come to Pismo Coast Village in the summer. When we do come here it is usually in Jan,Feb,Sept,Oct,Nov. It is more busy here in summer and since we don't "have" to come then, we leave it for those that need that time for family vacations. If you want to come as a guest, I suggest you find out the exact date you can phone in for a reservation and call first thing that morning when the office opens. As a shareholder we can call 6 months in advance. Still, if we want to check in during a weekend it may be difficult. If we check in on a Tues or Wed, we don't have a problem. Hope this helps.
