I would like to extend a big THANK YOU to my newest Followers, Lin Moore and Dee. I appreciate the two of you joining my group and I hope that I will entertain you, if not inform you, with stories of our life on the road as fulltime RVer's.
The main reason we came to this Anaheim area, was to visit with Bruce's Aunt Phyllis. Since she became a widow in 2000, we try to make a visit to her at least once a year. Bruce also helps advise her on financial matters and sees about her yearly income tax filing. We were able to enjoy a long visit with her the other day at the retirement home where she lives in Orange, California. Aunt Phyllis will be 81 on her next birthday and she is still a go-getter and fun to be with. We also saw her 2 daughters, Lynn and Sandra, but they got away before I remembered to take their pictures. Next time for sure.
We took our 1 hour walk this morning around the perimeter of Disneyland Resort. It takes right at 1 hour to walk from our RV park, around D-land, and back home again. Disney has provided these nice, wide sidewalks to make walking or jogging more enjoyable.
On the walk we went past the Alpine Inn which has been on Katella Avenue for as long as I can remember. The snow has never melted!
So we met with Margaret and her twin sister, Marilyn, at the Souplantation Restaurant in Lakewood. We had a great time catching up on each other's activities since our last visit. Marilyn and Margaret are both widowed now, and have almost completed the building of their dream home in Prescott, Arizona. They will be moving in a matter of days to their new home. We will have to make a plan to go and visit them. Margaret is the twin on the right.
Until next time......so long for now!
Nice blog, Margie. It's always great to be able to get together with relatives and friends. Thanks for sharing this story.
ReplyDeleteWe agree with Rick -- not on everything, but at least on your post. Family and friends are a treasure to hold close!
