Waiting for New Parts

We finally got out of the RV service center around 5:00 this evening.  We will have to return in 7 to 10 days for the remainder of the work to be finished.  Parts for the back-up monitor and the winterizing valve are now on order.  We are hoping that the leak in the slide out has finally been fixed.  We are expecting lots of rain in a few days, so I'm sure we'll be finding out about that!

I was tired driving home. We didn't hook the car up to the RV since it was only about 25 miles, so I just followed Bruce as he drove the Tour.  I needed a boost, so I put my CD of Queen in the dash and cranked up the volume.  I enjoyed "Another One Bites the Dust", "Bohemian Rhapsody", "We Are the Champions", and "We Will Rock You".  That woke me up.

They have a nice waiting room at the Uhlmann RV dealership with comfortable chairs and a nice TV to watch.  Plus, free popcorn is fixed every day for the customers.  I spent some time looking over the Road Atlas.   I'm always thinking about new places to go.

Getting through this type of stuff is another one of those "sacks of problems" we deal with as RVer's.  Al from  the Bayfield Bunch  wrote a great post about dealing with the many problems one can have living the RV lifestyle.  According to Al, the problems are worth enduring in order to enjoy this lifestyle, and I agree with him totally.  It's worth every cotton picking minute of it !!!!!

Until next time.....so long for now!

Great choice of music for driving home, Margie. Let's hope that leak is fixed if it's going to rain - I'm sure it will be o.k.

Hey Margie... cute that you took pics of the waiting room! LOL

We have only had to wait in two waiting rooms during our RV travels. They were both diesel truck places, unfortunately.

One was a filthy grease pit and the furniture was BLACK with icky trucker greasy hands and smelly shoe tracks on the carpeting. (they didn't fix the sensor problem right either)

The other was neat and clean and even had reclining chairs... that place fixed our Cat engine sensor problem right the first time.

So thinking... can we somewhat judge the repair place by the way they treats their customers?

Just so you and Rick & Paullette know,my youngest son Amdy calls 60's & 70'smusic, "oldpeoples music". Imagine that, The best music ever created. Sure beats the Boom-Boom- Boom of today. Sam & Donna

For me, waiting is the hardest thing I do. Suzy and I have gone back home rather than waiting in line to see a movie we really wanted to see. Of course, the line was about half a block long and the ticket booth (single line, single booth in the good old days)wasn't even open yet. Good for you to put that waiting time to good use, eating popcorn and pouring over the Atlas to find a new adventure. (I never know if that use of the word "pouring" is correct, or if it should be "poring" and our dictionary is packed away while our cadita is being remodeled. You know what I mean, anyway.)
